Kings is the bread & butter event of UWE Snowsports and our favourite way to spend a Saturday night!
The series is comprised of 4 local rounds and then a 'Finals' in May. At every round will find a mixture of racing, fancy dress, boobs, banter, prizes and friendly rivalry all being marshalled by the Kings Officials who whip things into shape whatever the weather.
UWE have been the (Great) Western League champions in both skiing and snowboarding in the past and have been significant challengers over the last couple seasons. We compete against Universtiys from all over the South West and Wales so expect to see Aberystwth, Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter (reigning champions), Plymouth & Swansea in attendance all determined to slalom down the dual course as fast as possible.
Kings is an all ability event so no matter what your standard is we'd invite you all to come and race and experience this unique series.

BUDS is UWE Snowsports annual pilgrimage North of the border and even though it's 2 days on Scottish hillside, it's EPIC!
Otherwise known as "The British University Dry Slope Championships" BUDS is the first BUSC event and is always guaranteed to be 48 hours of skiing, snowboarding, racing & freestyle by day and partying (amongst other things) by night.
Our accomodation for the weekend will be a hostel in central Edinburgh, and transport too and from the slope will be provided each day. However if you choose to stick to your usual Saturday morning lie-in, you will have to get a bus or taxi there instead.
BUDS is that it's one of the most suitable events for both competitors and spectators as there is always something to see and do. We depart on the Thursday night and go directly to Midlothian Ski Centre on arrival. We do ask that you bring a couple of warm layers, a few choice beverages and the knowledge that you'll feel destroyed come Monday morning (this is no excuse for missing lectures though).
